Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Delhi. Well-situated in a nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors. The furnishings are welcoming and I wanted to take them home with me. The staff is top-notch and really know how to cater to each visitor (it was my first time in India but have traveled a bit so they tailored their suggestions accordingly). My absolute favorite part aside from the linens was the delicious breakfast each morning in the breakfast room. This is now my go to place in Delhi!

Our suite was beautiful and Raj, our Butler, was incredibly attentive. Last night during a trip to the bar we were greeted with smiles, welcome drinks and 4 plates of canapés. It was lovely. The rest of the hotel, however, keeps this from receiving 5 stars. There are just a lot of areas that look like they're ready to be replaced: carpets, patched walls, etc.

Stayed there with family and friends for a short vacation trip in April 2013. Had a pleasant experience. The rooms are large and the hospitality is top class. The ambience and decor is in sync with the heritage City of Taj. It's a good place to splurge yourself. There is live folk performance in the hotel premises in the evening which adds up to the mood. The meals and the spread are awesome.

Built 175 years ago as a residence of the rulers of Samode, it is still occupied by their descendants, who have converted their home into a luxury hotel.

I spent a night in this hotel in Jaipur and the unit I had consisted of a dining room, living room, bedroom, a walk-in closet that adjoins the bathroom which itself has a shower and a bath tub. It was like renting an entire apartment that had luxurious furnishings that reflect Indian culture. They have a pool, souvenir store, pool side bar, restaurant, gym and spa. It somewhat gives the guest a taste of what it feels like to be royalty in Jaipur.

Old palace with modern conveniences. Excellent service. Excellent staff. Humongous size rooms with all modern facilities. Excellent restaurant. Expensive place but worth the money. Quite a long way to walk to some rooms, NOT disabled -friendly. No lift, no ramps. Close to attractions.

Had a grand family reunion ! What a lovely property. Rooms - exceptional Food - amazing Staff, managers - were so very helpful Beach is a bit far but they have buggies going to and fro in case you don't want to walk. They had organised a cooking competition for our group - 50 people ! That must have been a challenge but it went very well. 😁 it was so much fun. They are good at taking care of large groups.

    Fort Tiracol Tiracol, Goa

Once an armed fortress that belonged to the Portuguese, Fort Tiracol is now content to spend the rest of its days on a cliff enjoying the kaleidoscopic view of the Arabian Sea and the spectacular estuary of the Tiracol River. It exists in its own space and time on the northern most tip of Goa.

With its limited number of rooms, the hotel offers an intimacy that befits its size. The interiors are both Portuguese contemporary light with all modern amenities yet in keeping with the monumental structure. Dramatic and homely in turns, Fort Tiracol Heritage Hotel is unique.

Amenities include: Tavern Restaurant Lounge Bar and Verandah – Garden Cafe Al Fresco – all rooms with king-size beds – AC – modern state of the art bathrooms – free Wifi internet access in all rooms and public areas – coast cruising – river fishing.

Just visited the restaurant. The food is overpriced for that quality of taste. It doesn't even taste that great. If there was any other restaurant nearby, I would definitely go there instead. The view from the restaurant is great. But you need to be lucky enough to get that table 😐 Also, not much choice in their menu.

Great views from the rooms and the rooftop restaurant. The staff is courteous and willing to go the extra mile to dig up information on places to visit. The food is decent but in conjunction with the view makes for a good experience. The rooms are nice and feel decently luxurious. It is a good place to stay especially if you do not want the obvious in Goa.

I organized a trip from my hotel to this place for a scenic lunch. Whilst on the way I got stopped by a police constable saying that to go to this fort you'll have to go through Maharashtra, hence, you need all documents. Basically a play get a bribe I presume. So, I tried to get help from the Hotel but there was no one answering my call. Hence, it was on no avail. It was a perfect planned out afternoon ruined! I believe it is the hotel's responsibility to inform and check these peculiarities if they expect guests and of course to answer distressed calls.

An old world charm about it, after all it's part of a historical fort of a bygone era. Expensive though, even during the off season. They have a good choice of wines and variety of alcohol, but choice for food is severely restricted to some Italian and some Indian. Moreover, one has to place the order few hours earlier to be served at the pre decided time. Even the breakfast items have to be informed the previous night. There is a church in the courtyard, so at times you may be disturbed by the crowd if the mass is on. One night's stay is more than adequate to soak in the natural beauty, unless you truly want to laze around doing nothing and have far too deep pockets.
