Explore the fascinating old market towns, mountain peaks, adorned courtyards, enchanted palaces & secret gardens around exotic Morocco.
Meknes, Fes, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Asni
The country is at its most beautiful in spring (mid-March to May) and in Autumn (September to October) when temperatures are pleasant.
This trip takes you on a journey from the gateway of the High Atlas mountains to the door of the desert. An experience into the wonders of this country, with a rich history, warm culture and its position at a meeting point between the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Then passing by Rabat on our way to the old towns of Meknes & Fes. These old medinas, inhibited since the Middle Ages with their chaotic markets & traditional bazaars, offer a great vantage point on the authentic culture of Morocco.
Afterwards, we head to the enchanted city of Marrakech, an ever-vibrant hub between the desert and the mountains, with its snake-charmers, traditional restaurants, storytellers, bric-a-brac stalls, musicians, fortune-tellers and modern boutiques, all competing for your attention amid a noisy and colourful bustle that encapsulates the region’s vibrant energy.
Marrakech is also the gateway to Morocco’s High Atlas region, where we cross Tizi n’Tichka – the country’s highest pass, on our way to Ouarzazate. Nicknamed “the door of the desert”, catch a glimpse of the Berber rich heritage and explore the Atlas Studios, where many blockbusters have been filmed (such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Kingdom of Heaven and Babel). The studios offer a surreal experience of a sprawling movie set dropped in the desert before the last stop on our trip: Asni.
Built at the footsteps of the mountains with uninterrupted vistas towards Jbel Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa. Escape the last few days relaxing around the courtyard pool or the charming gardens and go for a leisure hike around the valley to visit the village and explore the waterfalls.
